PRAYER FLAGS is a band from Nashville, Tennessee fronted by bassist and singer Mark Robertson (Legendary Shack Shakers). Paul Niehaus (Justin Townes Earle, Calexico, Iron & Wine, Lambchop) plays pedal steel and electric guitar, Harlowe Quinn on guitar, and finally David Burns (Thumbnail, Atombombpocketknife, Chino Horde) on drums round out the band.

The 11-song album clocks in at 31 minutes featuring tight post-punk outbursts, syncopated pop anthems, and straight ahead, southern-tinged, effects-laden rocknroll.

Prayer Flags began as a studio-only side project for Mark and Harlowe. David was invited to join and the original recordings were overlaid with new tracks of drums and percussion. Paul was the final addition and rounded out the sound with his signature pedal steel style augmented by a good dose of distortion. The album was recorded in Nashville, produced by Mark Robertson, and mastered by Cameron Henry at Welcome to 1979.

The limited-edition LP was pressed on 150-gram white vinyl at United Record Pressing in Nashville with jacket design by Australian designer Lucrezia Tettoni.

The album is being released jointly by veteran punk/indie label FILE 13 RECORDS of Chicago and upstart publisher N EDITIONS from London. File 13 was founded in 1989 by Prayer Flags drummer David Burns to document the burgeoning punk scene of Little Rock, Arkansas. The label has since released over 90 albums and EPs from artists around the globe, including recent records by The Poison Arrows from Chicago and My Way My Love from Tokyo. N EDITIONS is a new imprint from London releasing limited edition books, art, and music.
